Saltwater Farm Vineyard was our couples top pick to start off our venue features! SWF was rated one of the “Top 50 Romantic Wedding Venues in the US” by Brides Magazine and features awarding winning wines, located along the shoreline in Stonington, CT.
The property began as a WWII- era airplane hangar. In 2001 the process began of turning the property into a vineyard. “The building showcases a vaulting roof, milled aluminum exterior, original wood sheathing and, dominating the airy interior, massive timber trusses.”
If you get a chance I highly recommend visiting to grab a bottle! The tasting room is located on the mezzanine level of the hangar and overlooks the vineyard and landing strip. Although they’re currently closed for winter 2020 and reopening in spring, they have pop-up openings on weekends!
