Stephen proposed at DuBois Beach in Stonington on what he claimed was his birthday dinner. The whole drive there, Susan was confused about why he was remarking about the fog that evening, and when they got there she was surprised to find that not only was it the proposal, but Stephen had arranged for Susan’s friends to photograph it too.
As part of the celebration on the day after their engagement, Susan and Stephen stopped by for a glass of wine and quickly decided it would be the perfect venue.
