Meghan + John went on their first date to Bar Taco in West Hartford, followed by ice cream. For the proposal John hung the ring on a branch of the Christmas tree while they were decorating. He tried to casually get Meghan’s attention but  she ended up not seeing it until he, literally, pointed it out haha. They love (are obsessed) with their pet bunny, Leo. John even wore a bunny bow tie for the wedding. When I arrived at the hotel and asked how Meghan was feeling she said “well now that I know everything is settled with Leo and pet sitter I feel better!”

We had been keeping an eye on the forecast, because with December in New England you never know what you’re going to get. We ended up with a “warm-ish” day and the rain held off until sunset. They shared their first look on the docks and held their ceremony in the Greenmanville Church, on the Seaport property. During the ceremony they had a glass bead unity ceremony, and the beads will be blown into a Christmas ornament. The perfect reminder of their winter wedding and Christmas proposal. Meghan + John danced the night away at Latitude 41, with family friends to ring in 2019.
