L+J The Lodge at Wright’s Mill Farm Wedding | Connecticut Wedding Photographer – Canterbury, CT
“I’m so glad we picked Jess as our wedding photographer! My husband and I aren’t the most comfortable in front of the camera but Jess made the process so easy going for us. She made us feel so comfortable and was very flexible throughout the planning process. We couldn’t be happier with how our pictures turned out! She captured our wedding day perfectly.”
L+J met at their college bar. She ordered an Angry Orchard and shot of tequila and J gave her a look. She told him not to judge her and they started talking from there. For their first date they went to the Cheesecake Factory. While they were talking they realized how much they had in common. Like when she told him that she liked to go clamming but only uses her feet. It was funny because J did the same thing, at his family’s cottage, had never met another person who did the same thing!
For the proposal they were on vacation and went to an AirBNB cottage on a lake in New Hampshire. They spent the day exploring the town and going to a couple breweries with their puppy Dakota. When they got back they went swimming in the lake and at sunset, J suggested to jump off the dock. Right before they did, he got down on one knee and proposed. Just like a a movie moment! Little did she know J set up his laptop to record the entire thing.
They checked out a few venues before finding Wright’s Mill Farm. As soon as they pulled onto the grounds – that stone entrance – they knew they had found “the one”. They toured the Lodge when it was still in the early stages of construction but saw their vision and fell in love. They were so excited to get married by the waterfall and have so much fun in the beautiful new building!
